Some people may find it difficult to live a healthy lifestyle while working full time. Some of you may not know this, but I have not been a full time Beachbody Coach for long. I was working full-time at a demanding & high stress job up until mid-April. I was able to find the right workouts to get in shape & ate the right foods that helped me lose weight & stay healthy. I know this can be challenging at times, but it is completely attainable. You can be healthy while working full time and also eat healthy while at work.

When I was working work full time I also was doing my part time business as a coach & volunteered frequently with my church in my spare time. In order for me to juggle everything, I had to live a healthy lifestyle. If I didn’t, there was no way I would have had enough energy to get through each day. Even now that I’m only working 20 hours a week, I stay very busy spending time with my friends & family, spending more time with God, traveling, cooking, & working out. I’m constantly on the go & because of that I must be healthy so that I have the energy to keep me going!

When I was working full-time, I would wake up 4 hours before I had to be at work every day. I gave myself plenty of time to spend my time with God, work out, and get ready for the day. I am not a morning person & immediately wanted to snooze my alarm every morning. But I got up to do my workout any way because I knew it would help give me energy for the entire day. Even now that I’m not working full-time, my God time & workouts come first in the morning & I set my alarm daily so I can fit them in.

I also used to prepare all of my snacks for the day in the morning as well. I made sure that I purchased healthy foods that are easy to make in to meals. I frequently bought frozen tilapia filets, turkey, ground turkey, & chicken for my meat products. I purchased a lot of vegetables (fresh and frozen), fruits, nuts, whole grains, eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, & of course Shakeology (the healthiest meal of the day). I don’t have time to cook very often, so I make sure I purchase foods that don’t take much preparation.I don’t eat meat anymore, but I wanted to share those things with you for those meat eaters out there.

I also packed my snacks for work so that I could eat every 2-3 hours, which is a must for a healthy lifestyle. Some of my favorites were apples, bananas, nuts, raisins, yogurt, other fruit and vegetables, & Luna bars. These foods take basically no preparation whatsoever.

It takes self-discipline, time, & dedication to lead a healthy lifestyle while working. But, it is not as difficult as you may think though. As a first step, just trying buying healthy & easy foods & waking up a little earlier each day. It is definitely vital for me to take the time to exercise & eat healthy so that I have the energy to get through each busy day of my life. I know it’s possible for you, too!
