Happy Monday loves! Today I wanted to talk about why small changes make a big difference. I totally used to be that person that would try to make a million changes at once. That just sets us up for failure. Take it one day at a time darling.
When you’re trying to incorporate any change in your life, don’t try to do it all at once because you’re going to get overwhelmed & set yourself up to fail. Make one change at a time & take it one day at a time. I used to always just want to be lazy on my rest day, but then I decided to start incorporating yoga in a couple weeks ago. Yesterday I also threw in a bike ride because the weather was beautiful! Small changes make a big difference. I decide to make the change to not lay on the couch on my rest day. Now I have made these changes in to a habit because small changes make a big difference.
So if you’re trying to lose weight, first start out by cutting your portions in half. Then in a couple weeks, add in a fruit or veggie at each meal & then after that start adding in exercise a few times a week. Adding in small changes overtime will create habits that turn in to a lifestyle change. Small changes make a big difference.
I encourage you today to write down all of your goals & the changes you’d like to make. Then pick out a couple of the things you wrote down & break them down. For example, if you want to lose 10 lbs break it down in to how many weeks that will take. A healthy weight loss goal is 2 lbs per week. So that would take approximately 5 weeks. So what do you need to do on a daily basis to achieve that goal? Start with nutrition. Cut your portions in half to start out.
Because small changes make a big difference.
