So it has been two & a half week since I started my journey with PiYo & I am telling you, this is the best workout I have ever done in my life!

It was hard for me at first because I like to go, go, go & it’s hard for me to slow down. But, having a combination of Pilates & Yoga has helped me learn how to relax my mind & helps settle me down. It’s now the number one thing I look forward to every day. It’s also nice to have a break from all that high impact jumping {sorry to all you Insanity lovers}.

My favorite workouts so far would have to be Core & Buns. They seem the most intense to me & I feel SO SO sore from them. This morning trying to get out of bed, I felt like a granny walking because my legs were so sore. The benefit is that my core is getting more defined than I have ever seen & my cellulite in my legs looks like it may completely disappear soon {win!}. Ladies will understand that one.

In honor of Transformation Tuesday, I wanted to share with you how God has transformed my life.

Because you CAN create your dreams. You CAN live the life you’ve always wanted.

I’m having a total God moment where I’m like “pinch me, is this really my life?!”

I’m standing in front of my new DREAM apartment that I’m moving to in a few weeks in South Park. It’s upstairs from Earth Fare & there’s also a yoga studio, breakfast restaurant, & a Starbucks all in the same plaza. The apartment was just updated & has beautiful granite counter tops (I’ve always wanted those). All my favorite stuff in one place?! What?!

I’m not sharing this to brag I’m sharing this to say The Lord is so amazing!! Why? Because this was my DREAM apartment that I was afraid to go look at because I kept telling myself looking from the outside that I could never afford it. But The Lord has plans to bless us all abundantly & lavish us. He wants that for us more than we do for ourselves!

What you don’t see about my journey or what you don’t know about me is all the stuff The Lord had to change in my heart to make all this happen.

- just a few years ago I was 60 lbs heavier, depressed, smoked a pack of cigarettes a day, got drunk every night, & was a disrespectful nasty person

- I used to be so shy & lacked self confidence so much that I wouldn’t talk to people in public (in fact I avoided it)

- I was made fun of in high school & all my friends stopped talking to me when I gained weight

- I went through many bad relationships & even a divorce at the age of 19

- I was stuck in a rut at a job I hated that gave me no freedom, yet I settled because I was too afraid to change

- just a year ago I quit my job as the Director of Residence Life to follow my passion with my business & change lives & I was scared out of my mind (maybe the most scared I’ve ever been) but listened & trusted in The Lord

- the last year has been absolutely amazing, but the hardest year of my life

- I went through a depression when I first moved here last year, I binge ate, I stayed inside & watched TV & isolated myself because I was embarrassed to talk about my struggles

- I’ve failed so many times it isn’t even funny in my business

But The Lord had amazing plans for my life & once He changed me & my heart in so many areas, He made all of this possible. Everything I went through was for a reason. It’s developed me in to the person I’m meant to be & He is still continuing to work on me.

Every struggle I’ve had, He has turned it around. It’s all taken me to exactly where I was supposed to be. And I’m continuing to trust in Him every step I take & do everything in my life to glorify Him.

I share this story not because life is about material things or fancy places. But because I want to glorify God for all He has made happen in my life. Because none of this would be possible without Him!

Wherever you are right now is exactly where you’re supposed to be. Never give up. Create your dreams. Walk with The Lord & He will help you make all your dreams come true.

Happy Monday lovelies! I know there are so many of you out there starting PiYo or getting ready to start later this month. So, today I wanted to share with you how to get your kitchen ready for PiYo!

Your results from any fitness program or exercise you do are 80% nutrition, 20% fitness. Mind blowing right?! I always thought if I just worked out really hard I could lose weight (before I lost 60 lbs). I would literally take diet pills, eat like crap, drink a ton of alcohol, but workout & expect it to work. After losing that weight & learning a lot more about nutrition, I still didn’t understand the importance of this until last year. So because of all my struggles I’ve been through, I want to help you get your kitchen ready for PiYo.

I know that this part can be the most overwhelming. If you’re like me, you hate to cook. I love food, but cooking I mean who enjoys that?! LOL. Plus I keep so busy that it feels there’s no time for it. BUT I have embraced meal planning & prepping even though I hate it. Because it helps keep me on track, only takes a couple hours to do, & helps me feel stress free during the week when I’m busy because I can just grab & go.

So you may be thinking, “well how do I make time for it? I barely have time to sleep.” Well, I will just say that it’s all about priorities. You will make time for what’s a priority to you. So if you want to lose weight, get healthy, or get those abs that are hiding (like mine do so often :P) then you’ll figure it out. Take an hour off your time watching TV or playing Facebook games & just make it happen. So here’s how to get your kitchen ready for PiYo!

1. Figure out your daily caloric needs & then pick out recipes

2. Write out in a planner your meals for the week

3. Take an hour to meal prep everything for the week

I know this seems daunting, but I promise you once you do it you will feel so much better.

Happy Thursday everyone! I am having an AMAZING morning so far & I hope you are, too!! I did a happy dance this morning as I stepped on the scale after doing the 3 Day Refresh, woohoo!!

I ate as healthy as I could during my trip to Vegas last week. But, I did consume pasta, frozen yogurt, & chips & salsa. We were also so busy that it was hard to get enough sleep or stay hydrated. I was also 3 hours behind my normal time zone. So my body was all jacked up! Needless to say, I felt super puffy & bloated like a busted can of biscuits when I got back Sunday. But, my 3 Day Refresh results were AMAZING!!!

I started getting my abs back just after the first day and a half.

I know everyone always tells me that I am too self critical. That I don’t need to lose weight. That I look just fine. But, I am not doing this for anyone else. I am doing this for myself. To feel GOOD. And I did NOT feel good after Vegas. So my 3 Day Refresh results made me SO HAPPY!

After losing 60 lbs & busting my booty to do that, I still have to work super hard to stay fit. It doesn’t come natural to me, my dad’s side of the family struggles with being overweight. So any time I see the scale starting to go up & I know it’s not from muscle, I get myself in check.

So, about the 3 Day Refresh (I get distracted easily haha). I got to eat A LOT more than you do on any other cleanse. I also got to enjoy herbal tea three times a day. That was my favorite part, it felt so relaxing!

I have done other cleanses before & I just felt HANGRY. Like super angry, wanted to punch a baby. (Not really, I am not mean like that. Just sarcastic k?!) Then I would always want to binge eat after I was done because I barely  had any food. But, with the 3 Day Refresh I didn’t feel hungry & I am not binging today after being done like I would normally do.

So here are my 3 Day Refresh Results!

I lost a total of 5 lbs & 2 inches & got some of my abs back, YAY!!!

I truly can see a difference everywhere: in my arms, my face, my tummy, my legs. My shorts are looser. My cellulite went away. I know abs aren’t important to everyone, but I have never had abs before in my life. So, I felt pretty accomplished having them before Vegas & pretty bummed that I looked like a busted can of biscuits when I got back haha.

So, those are my 3 Day Refresh Results! I absolutely loved it & have so much energy right now & just feel SO good!! It was a great way to cleanse my system, lose some weight, & just jump start my new fitness program (PIYO!!!).

I think I am going to do one of these every few months because it’s just a great way to get all that junk out of your body. I am SOOO happy!!! This is by far the best cleanse I have ever done! Thank you Beachbody!

Happy Tuesday lovelies! Sorry I have been MIA. But, if you’re following me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram you know I was in Vegas at Coach Summit 2014! I had an absolutely AMAZING time & it was by far the best thing that’s happened to me all year! I wanted to share my journey with you because this opportunity has absolutely changed my entire life. My prayer is that I can touch your heart & help change yours as well.

The reason I want to share all of this is because just a little over a year ago I was just like many of you. I was working at a corporate job, sometimes 80+ hours a week & doing my master’s degree at the same time. I was overworked, underpaid, exhausted, unfulfilled, & just downright miserable. I didn’t have time for anything that I enjoyed doing.

I didn’t have time to go visit my family or to spend with my friends. But, one day I decided to give coaching a shot. Only because I wanted to help people. I didn’t care if I ever made money & didn’t think I would honestly. I had lost 60 lbs a few years ago & just wanted to help people lose weight & change their lives like mine had been changed from my journey.

I am so happy that I gave it a chance because in May of last year I was able to quit my full-time job & move to the city of my dreams. God is so good! I earn substantially more working very part time hours (that I schedule myself!) than I ever did in my director level job & now have so much time to do all the things I love. Everyone deserves to have a life like this, a life that you design. That is why I wanted to share my experience with you about Coach Summit 2014. Because this opportunity has completely changed my life & EVERYONE deserves to be surrounded by a community of amazing people that are healthy, happy, & that help you become a better person & hold you accountable to achieving your goals!

I arrived to Coach Summit 2014 on Wednesday & got to meet one of the coaches I mentor on my team, Tawnay, for the first time in person! We met on my Facebook fan page last year & just knew we were kindred spirits immediately. It was such a blessing being able to get to meet her & fellowship together & also have a bunch of fun!

So the purpose of Coach Summit 2014 was for all of us coaches to come together & have fun at a ton of parties, workouts live with the celebrity trainers like Shaun T & Chalene Johnson, & go to personal development workshops so that we can become even better coaches & help more people. Our goal is to help people lead healthy fulfilling lives through the coaching opportunity & also with our challenge groups. It was so inspiring to see so many coaches recognized on stage for being completely debt free & also for being million dollar earners. I just KNOW that I will be recognized for debt free next year & million dollar earner before I’m 30! Speaking of being on stage in front of 10,000 , I got recognized on stage for advancing my business & helping a lot of people!

This company is seriously so amazing & has changed my life! We wake up excited every day because we LOVE what we do  &  get rewarded for helping people change their lives. I mean how amazing is that?! God is so good!

Oh! Speaking of Chalene Johnson!!! I got my copy of PiYo!!!!!! I started yesterday & it has been absolutely AMAAAZING!! It’s so nice to have a low impact workout that also still really works your muscles, but without crazy jumping & high impact on your joints. I am so excited for my test group starting on July 7th. You can still apply for a spot here, only one spot is left!

And one of my absolute FAVORITE moments was hearing one of the Beachbody challenge winners (who won $100,000) say that before he was waiting to die & now he is just waiting to live. I mean HOW AMAZING is that, that we have a chance to change lives in such a way! We are saving lives & I am so blessed to be a part of it!

So that was my EPIC experience at Coach Summit 2014!! I know I will be taking hundreds of you with me next year & cannot WAIT to help change your life!

Happy Monday friends! I apologize for not posting last week, but I was enjoying myself on vacation on a Royal Caribbean cruise that I earned through my business. I am feeling completely refreshed & have a new found peace & perspective on life. I was reflecting a lot on the plane ride home & realized that one year ago my life was completely different. I was stuck in a job that I hated, working up to 80 hours a week at times, & had no time for anything. I knew I was meant to do something bigger & craved a change, but I didn’t know how to make it happen. Now that God has helped me figure it out, I want to show you as well how to design your life.

As I said, I was so miserable in my current job & where I lived & had absolutely no time to do anything fun or spend time with the people who mattered to me. Ever since I was little I always knew that I was supposed to do something big, but I never thought it would be possible. Then I came across the coaching opportunity & it completely changed my life. This is how I learned that it is possible to live a life I’ve always dreamed of & how to design your life.

I started by writing my goals down & looking at every aspect of my life & how I wanted to spend my time. I thought about my relationships, finances, where I wanted to live, how often I wanted to travel, how much free time I wanted to have, what I would like to help people do, & so on. Then I created a dream board & set it as the background on my laptop. I used this website to create mine. http://www.oprah.com/spirit/O-Dream-Board-Envision-Your-Best-LifeTM. This is the first step on how to design your life.

After designing my dream board, I prayed & asked for God’s help most importantly. Then I reverse engineered my goals. I took each goal & wrote down the steps of what I needed to do to achieve them & broke them down in to monthly & weekly goals. There will of course be other steps you take that you don’t know yet, but God will show you along the way. I worked with my mentor on specific actions of what I should do as well for each goal. This is the second step on how to design your life.

Then I got to work! I scheduled time every day to work on each of my goals, even if it was only a short period of time. I did have to make some sacrifices and prioritize how I was spending my time, but it was completely worth it. I was able to quit my full-time job last year & now have the time to do EVERYTHING I have ever wanted to do. Instead of working 80 hours a week, I now work 20 hours & make my own schedule. I work from home or anywhere that has WiFi; because of that I can pick wherever I want to live & have way more time to travel to see those I care about. I am doing a job that I am so fulfilled doing & love so much I would do for free.

One year ago I wouldn’t have ever imagined life would have taken me where it has today. All of the goals on my dream board I made last year, God helped me achieve them. I am of course working on my 2014 goals & dream board & some of them are already coming true. I wanted to write this today to encourage you that you CAN design your own life & live it out!
