Happy Tuesday loves! I hope you’re having a fantastic week! I wanted to just give you a quick PiYo Week 3 Update! I am moving to my dream apartment this week, so I may not be around as much with being busy with that. So just wanted to quickly pop in & update you!

Fridays have been rest day from PiYo & I’ve never been more sad for a rest day. These workouts make me SO happy. They pump happiness & love in to me. Before I became a coach I worked out almost every day, but that doesn’t mean I always liked it. But now I am just SO in love with doing PiYo every day! And I’ve never had this much self love before either!  I honestly feel the best I’ve ever felt in my life! Thank you Jesus!

But, to me it’s not most important that I am loving it. My heart has just been SO FULL with the comments from my group of 25 ladies in my exclusive virtual support group. Here is just a few things they have been saying:

Rachael: I just went dress shopping today for my sisters wedding! Now I haven’t lost any weight yet an I still haven’t measured, but I found a dress and it’s a size FOUR!! Before PiYo I couldn’t even zip up a 4 and now I’m ready to rock it next month!!

Beth: I am so noticing that I’m more toned, and now that I’m sort of getting the moves right it’s a lot harder, love it!

LupitaDay 9 for me complete. I will admit all day long I gave myself every excuse in the book as to why I should skip today and do two tomorrow. But you know what…I realized that is why I never made it through TurboFire or Body Beast – because I would skip a day and it just kept adding up. 

That is why I love PiYo, it’s not long on time but it works me out. And I feel even better now after doing it than I did all morning.

And even more exciting!!! My mom decided to join my PiYo support group with us! She has never been interested in doing a workout with me since I became a coach because she feels they’re all so intense. But, when she visited me a few weeks ago she tried it out & loved it. This just makes my heart smile even more because now she will live longer, healthier, & happier. So, that means more time I get with her. YAY!

So it has been two & a half week since I started my journey with PiYo & I am telling you, this is the best workout I have ever done in my life!

It was hard for me at first because I like to go, go, go & it’s hard for me to slow down. But, having a combination of Pilates & Yoga has helped me learn how to relax my mind & helps settle me down. It’s now the number one thing I look forward to every day. It’s also nice to have a break from all that high impact jumping {sorry to all you Insanity lovers}.

My favorite workouts so far would have to be Core & Buns. They seem the most intense to me & I feel SO SO sore from them. This morning trying to get out of bed, I felt like a granny walking because my legs were so sore. The benefit is that my core is getting more defined than I have ever seen & my cellulite in my legs looks like it may completely disappear soon {win!}. Ladies will understand that one.

The meal plan is super simple to follow & I don’t feel hungry at all! I get to enjoy what I eat every day & feel super full of energy.

Here is a sample of what I am eating.

Breakfast: Egg white Omelette {with spinach & red peppers} & Steel Cut Oatmeal
Snack: 12 Almonds & Berries {1 cup}
Lunch: Chicken & Spinach Salad with Avocado & Berries
Snack: Broccoli with Salsa & Chocolate Vegan Shakeology
Dinner: Turkey Chili

Happy Monday lovelies! I know there are so many of you out there starting PiYo or getting ready to start later this month. So, today I wanted to share with you how to get your kitchen ready for PiYo!

Your results from any fitness program or exercise you do are 80% nutrition, 20% fitness. Mind blowing right?! I always thought if I just worked out really hard I could lose weight (before I lost 60 lbs). I would literally take diet pills, eat like crap, drink a ton of alcohol, but workout & expect it to work. After losing that weight & learning a lot more about nutrition, I still didn’t understand the importance of this until last year. So because of all my struggles I’ve been through, I want to help you get your kitchen ready for PiYo.

I know that this part can be the most overwhelming. If you’re like me, you hate to cook. I love food, but cooking I mean who enjoys that?! LOL. Plus I keep so busy that it feels there’s no time for it. BUT I have embraced meal planning & prepping even though I hate it. Because it helps keep me on track, only takes a couple hours to do, & helps me feel stress free during the week when I’m busy because I can just grab & go.

So you may be thinking, “well how do I make time for it? I barely have time to sleep.” Well, I will just say that it’s all about priorities. You will make time for what’s a priority to you. So if you want to lose weight, get healthy, or get those abs that are hiding (like mine do so often :P) then you’ll figure it out. Take an hour off your time watching TV or playing Facebook games & just make it happen. So here’s how to get your kitchen ready for PiYo!

1. Figure out your daily caloric needs & then pick out recipes

2. Write out in a planner your meals for the week

3. Take an hour to meal prep everything for the week

I know this seems daunting, but I promise you once you do it you will feel so much better.

Oatmeal & egg white & veggie omelette
Oatmeal with Shakeology (chocolatey & full of protein!)

These are just a few tips from the beginning of my PiYo journey. Today starts week 2 & I am SO IN LOVE with this program!! So I will DEF be sharing more tips with you as I go!

So if you follow Beachbody or Chalene Johnson or me, you will know that I ADORE Chalene Johnson!!! My first experience ever was Chalean Extreme & it helped me gain self confidence (& muscles!) like I never had before. Her workouts are so much fun & I looked forward to them every day!! I never had tone like that in my life. So when Beachbody announced that they’ll be launching another Chalene Johnson home fitness program I got STOKED!!! It’s an awesome combination of low impact moves that help improve your flexibility, stamina, & strength. It is yoga & pilates inspired, but there is also some cardio in there as well.
The BEST part is that it gives you results such as defined muscles, abs, & core strength WITHOUT the weights & pounding of your joints from jumping around. It’s perfect for those with mobility or joint limitations due to injury or past experiences. 
So why do I think that Piyo is going to be an AMAZING program to have?!

Because it is unlike ANYTHING else out there! You will still get in a cardio workout without the stress on your joints. You’ll have Chalene’s awesome motivating positive  personality encouraging you every day in the comfort of your own home. You’ll feel the burn for days after!! After each 35 minute workout, you will be sweating & your booty will be burning! But without bouncing around, jumping, or doing crazy complex moves. It’s all about controlled movement that energizes you.
I have been asked before why we don’t have a yoga series with Beachbody. Well this is it! This is going to be a GAME CHANGER for so many people who love yoga & want to be able to do it from home.
